DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN DELHI

Namaste and Welcome to India!

Upon your arrival in Delhi, our representative will greet you at Delhi International Airport and transfer you to your Hotel. Check in and Rest of the day is at your leisure and relaxation.

Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi. 

 

DAY 02: DELHI SIGHTSEEING

Good Morning! After breakfast you will be going for a full day sightseeing tour of the capital city of India starting with old Delhi founded as Shahjahanabad. You will visit the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest and most splendid mosque in India, both built by Emperor Shah Jahan, Rajghat- the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, where he was cremated. Post lunch the sightseeing continues to explore the best tourist attractions of New Delhi including a drive past through the Indian President’s House (Rashtrapati Bhawan) towards India gate built to honour and pay a tribute to the Indian soldiers, then visit Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar; built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty and the beautiful Lotus Temple.  In the evening take a cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling and colourful bazaar of Chandani Chowk for shopping or to taste some tantalizing North Indian cuisines.

Afterwards return to the hotel for a pleasant overnight stay.

 

DAY 03: DELHI – MANDAWA

After breakfast check out the hotel and drive towards Mandawa. On the way stop over at Nawalgarh, visit compact little town of Shekhawati region comprising of beautiful Forts and ancient Havelis. While touring this town a painted arched gateway adorned with Lord Krishna and his cows leads to the bazaar. Its Havelis still bear witness to the rich & prosperous Marwari era of the 19th century. Later continue drive to medieval city Mandawa in Rajasthan. Upon arrival check in at the hotel.  Mandawa is also called the ‘open-air art gallery’ of Rajasthan. Evening is free at your leisure and rest.

DAY 04: MANDAWA – BIKANER

After breakfast check out the hotel and start your sightseeing tour of Mandawa- a small town situated in the heart of Shekhawati region. Mandawa is well-known for its Havelies, fort palaces and fresco art. Enjoy a walk around the village and see how the clay potteries are made by Indian potters. The most important places to see are Chokhani, Ladia, Binsidhar Newatia, and Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli. Another haveli, the Binsidhar Newatia Haveli, is known for its curious paintings. After visit proceed towards Bikaner. Enroute halt at to Deshnok, a small village in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan. Famous as a pilgrimage place it is known for housing the very unique Hindu temple “Karni Mata Temple” or the Rat Temple where rats are considered to be sacred. This tiny village comes to life during the Karni Mata Fair which is celebrated twice a year. Thousands of devotee’s visits Deshnok during this fair and the entire village is bustling with activities and tourists. Afterwards continue to drive Bikaner, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Rest of the evening is free for leisure.

DAY 05: BIKANER – POKHRAN – JAISALMER

Good Morning! After breakfast start the city tour of Bikaner and visit most popular and magnificent Junagarh Fort – This huge enormous fort was built in the 15 century by one of the most reliance generals of Akbar, Raja Rai Singh and till date this had never been conquered. Lalgarh Palace – build in red sandstone and it was planned by Britisher for Maharaja Ganga Singh. Later check out from the hotel & drive towards Jaisalmer. En route take a halt at Pokhran: visit the massive Fort of Pokhran. The town of Pokhran came to the renown when India’s first nuclear test was conducted here in the 1970’s. Pokhran Fort was Built in 1532-1584 the yellow sandstone, though not as conspicuous as some of the others forts in Rajasthan, it has a few exquisite palaces like the Mangal Niwas, the Rani Mahal and the Phool Niwas or the Flower Palace; visit the Pokhran Museum, housed inside the fort’s premises is fairly small and contains an hodgepodge of weapons, pottery paintings, and the costumes which the Maharajas wore. After visiting the fort, proceed to Jaisalmer. On arrival transfer to the hotel, after refreshment take a walk along the local market.

DAY 06: JAISALMER SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast start exploring the Golden City of Jisalmer and visit the Jaisalmer Fort which is made by unique Golden Lime stone, hence also known as Golden Fort or Sonar Qilla.  After that visit Patwon-ki-haveli, Nathmal-ki-haveli. Salim singh-ki-Haveli. People still live in these ancient buildings dating from 12th to 15th century. Every house has exquisite carvings. In the evening, proceed for camel ride on Sam Sand Dunes. Here you can make your evening memorable by taking camel ride to view the sun set over the sand dunes. Various cultural programs are organized against the backdrop of these fascinating sand dunes.

Day 07: JAISALMER – MANVAR

Today morning after breakfast check out the hotel and drive towards Manvar in Dechu. This place falls under Shergarh Region of Thar Desert and the highest sand dunes are found in this area. Upon arrival transfer to the resort. Early evening transfer on the camels for a desert safari till the Manvar Camp Site, reaching the campsite by sunset. In the evening, enjoy folk dance and music under the starlit sky while enjoying theme dinner.

DAY 08: MANVAR – JODHPUR

After breakfast check out the hotel and proceed towards Jodhpur also known as Blue City of India. En route make a halt at Bishnoi Village. The villagers coming from the Bishnois caste are particularly keen to protect nature, especially plants and animal species. Bishnois are vegetarians and hence have great reverence for all living things. Then visit to the local handicrafts viz shoe makers, pottery hand weaving watching men in their traditional attire, women clad with ancestral silver Jewellery, en-route watch and photograph the beautiful wildlife – black buck, chinkaras, peacock etc. liberally moving in plenty of care by the local villagers. Later proceed to Jodhpur. On arrival at Jodhpur transfer to the hotel, in the evening you may opt to explore the bustling markets and try some delicious rajasthani cuisines.

Afterwards return to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

DAY 09: JODHPUR – RANAKPUR – MOUNT ABU

After breakfast check out the hotel and proceed towards Jodhpur also known as Blue City of India. En route make a halt at Bishnoi Village. DAY 10: MOUNT ABU – UDAIPUR

Today morning after breakfast take a sightseeing tour of Mount Abu by visiting Dilwara Jain temples; a complex of 5 temples, carved of white marble, ranked as India’s finest temple architecture, built between the 11th and 13th centuries, a sacred pilgrimage place for the Jain community. The sightseeing followed visit at Achalgarh Fort, built in the 14th century by Rajpoot King Rana Kumbha of Mewar. It encloses several beautiful Jain temples, including the Achaleswar Mahadev Temple (1412) and the Kantinath Temple, you may also opt to visit Adhar Devi Temple, carved out of solid rock; the Shri Raghunathji Temple; and a shrine and temple to Dattatreya built atop the Guru Shikhar peak. The world headquarters of the Brahma Kumari order of lady renunciates is also located here, as is the World Spiritual University of the same denomination. Later check out the hotel and drive towards Udaipur. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. In the evening you may walk through the old narrow street of the city to watch local houses and people. Udaipur also well-known as the “City of Lakes” is the most romantic city of India. Udaipur is for all tastes and budgets people and make it a memorable experience for all. The supernatural beauty of Lake Pichola invites the guest to visit the place again and again.

DAY 11: UDAIPUR CITY TOUR

After breakfast, proceed for a city tour. Begin your tour with a visit to the City Palace. Once here, marvel the rooms with mirrored walls and ivory doors, windows with colored glasses, the beautiful marble balconies and the peacock courtyard. Then visit the lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari (Queen’s resort for their friends) gardens, Jagdish Temple built by Maharana Jagat Singh and dedicated to Lord Vishnu & Gulab Bagh. Then visit Bhartiya Lok kala Museum – a museum of folk and art that displays a rich collection of folk dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks and dolls.

DAY 12: UDAIPUR – CHITTOURGARH – DEOGARH – PUSHKAR

After breakfast check out the hotel and drive to the holy town of Pushkar. On your way to Pushkar visit Chittourgarh city, to visit mightiest and largest historical fort of India: Chittourgarh,

Chittorgarh is the epitome of Rajput (Warrior caste) pride, romance and spirit, for people of Chittor always chose death before surrendering against anyone. The major attraction here is the massive hilltop fort, that is a symbol of all that was brave, true and noble in the glorious Rajput tradition. The Chittorgarh Fort seated on a 180 metre high hill, covers an expanse of 700 acres and rises rapidly from the plains. Fiercely independent, the fort was under siege thrice and each time they fought bravely and thrice Jauhar(massive suicide) was committed by the ladies and children, first led by Rani Padmini, and later by Rani Karnavati. The imposing Fort boasts of well-designed palaces, magnificent cenotaphs and huge towers. The Fort of Chittorgarh has a colossal structure that is secured by its several strong gateways. Later continue drive to Pushkar, on arrival at transfer to the hotel, evening is free for relax or take a walk through to see beautiful Pushkar Lake and colorful market of Pushkar.

DAY 13: PUSHKAR – AJMER – JAIPUR

After breakfast visit Pushkar, well-known for the world’s largest cattle fair every year in the month of November, with glorious celebration. Pushkar – one of the sacred places for Hindus having more than 400 temples and the most important World Famous only one temple is Brahma Temple (The creator God). Upon arrival check into the hotel designated hotel. Later enjoy sightseeing tour of Pushkar visit Brahma Temple – devoted to Lord Brahma is the main appeal of Pushkar – Pushkar Lake and Hindu temples.

Also enjoy sightseeing tour of Ajmer well-known for Dargarh of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

DAY 14: JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING

Jaipur sightseeing starts from Amber Fort situated on the hill. The best way to reach the fort is to take an Elephant back ride to the lively entrance of the Amber Fort. Its structure was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and finished by his descendent Jai Singh I and it is the main attraction of the city. Later in the afternoon, enjoy the city tour and visit City Palace complex – A pleasant is a mixture of Mughal and customary Rajasthani structural design which houses a collection of Rajasthani art Jewellery, , carpets etc. Visit Jantar Mantar – one of the biggest Observatory of its time with a drive past through Jal Mahal. Also visit Hawa Mahal or the Wind Palace which has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal impress for the palace women. In the evening visit Choki Dhani to enjoy the rich Rajasthani culture and food.

DAY 15: JAIPUR – SAMODE – JAIPUR

Today morning take an excursion to Samode, (45 kms:1 hr) – here you can explore Samode Haveli, Samode Baugh, which were the royal palaces and forts of the kings of Rajasthan, most wonderful place to recall the majestic royal past of Rajasthan. You can also visit to the villager’s houses to see their living and life style. And enjoy camel ride, camel cart to enjoy the village atmosphere. You may opt to have lunch/dinner (of your own) at Samode Haveli, converted into a heritage hotel.

Afterwards return back to Jaipur for overnight stay.

 

DAY 16: JAIPUR – FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA

Today morning after breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Agra. Enroute stop over at Fatehpur Sikri, the old deserted town of the Mughal kingdom, built in red sandstone in honour of Saint Salim Chisti who blessed birth of 3 sons to Emperor Akbar. It is an example of robust stability combined with originality. It is an example of robust stability combined with originality. Each important structure here represents a type by itself. Notable among them is the Diwane e Khas; Punch Mahal, the Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza, one of the largest and tallest gateways in the world. After visit… proceed to Agra, on arrival transfer to the hotel. In the evening  one should visit Oswal Emporium to watch the replica of Taj Mahal it took 10 years for the artists to build this artistic epitome, also enjoy light and sound show “Mohabbat-theTaj: the saga of love”, the only show of its kind in India! Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

DAY 17: AGRA SIGHTSEEING

Upon arrive at Agra and visit the royal Taj Mahal – One of the seven wonder of the world is the most charming and gorgeous work of art built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a remembrance to his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died during child birth. It is made up of white marble and took over two decades to complete. Later enjoy in Agra the massive Agra fort – buildup of red stone was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD. Within the fort are a number of beautiful buildings, including the Moti Masjid, Diwane-i-Am, Diwane-i-Khas, Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb known as Jewel Box or Baby Taj – The tomb of Mirza Giyas Beg was constructed in 16 century by his daughter Nurjahan, the wife of the Mughal emperor Jehangir.

After sightseeing return to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

DAY 18: AGRA – SIKANDRA – DELHI

Today morning, after breakfast check out the hotel and drive towards Delhi. On the way stop over at Sikandra to see the Tomb of Mughal Emperor Akbar, a marvelous mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Akbar, spectacularly designed structure of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Later proceed to Delhi, on arrival transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight for onward journey, on departure the tour concludes with happy memories.
