DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN DELHI
Namaste! Welcome to the Capital of India. You will be welcomed by our representatives on arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to let you overcome jet lag. In the evening you may explore the colorful and lively markets of Delhi. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 2: DELHI SIGHTSEEING
Good Morning! After breakfast you will be going for a full day sightseeing tour of the capital city of India starting with old Delhi founded as Shahjahanabad. You will visit the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest and most splendid mosque in India, both built by Emperor Shah Jahan, Rajghat- the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, where he was cremated. Post lunch the sightseeing continues to explore the best tourist attractions of New Delhi including a drive past through the Indian President’s House (Rashtrapati Bhawan) towards India gate built to honour and pay a tribute to the Indian soldiers, then visit Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar; built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty and the beautiful Lotus Temple. In the evening take a cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling and colourful bazaar of Chandani Chowk for shopping or to taste some tantalizing North Indian cuisines. Afterwards return to the hotel for a pleasant overnight stay.
DAY 03: DELHI TO AGRA
After breakfast check out the hotel and proceed towards Agra. On the way To Agra stop over at Sikandra to see the Tomb of Mughal Emperor Akbar, a marvellous mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Akbar, spectacularly designed structure of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Once you reach Agra check in the hotel and leave for Agra Sightseeing with a visit to Agra Fort built in 1576 AD by great Mughal Emperor Akbar, structured and designed with red stoned barricaded; here you will find the splendid Pearl Mosque and various other classic example of art: Jahangir Mahal, Moti Masjid, Macchhi Bhawan, Nagina Masjid, Diwan-i-Khas, Sheesh Mahal, Diwan-e-Am, and Meena Bazaar. Emperor Shahjahan imprisoned by his rebellious son Aurangzeb in the Musamman Bhurj, would see his love reflecting through the Taj Mahal, where his dear wife was cremated. Later visit the Tomb of Itamad-ud-Daula, 35 kms from Agra, built by Empress Noorjahan daughter of Shahjahan, this monument a tribute to her great father. After sightseeing return to the hotel for a pleasant overnight stay.
DAY 04: AGRA TO JAIPUR VIA FATEHPUR SIKRI
Today morning after breakfast check out the hotel and visit world’s most popular and beautiful monument: Taj Mahal, a Symbol Of eternal love And UNESCO World Heritage Site. Being one of the 7 wonders of the world, this historical masterpiece is an illustration of the fusion of diverse architectural styles. Later proceed towards the Pink City, Jaipur. Enroute Jaipur stop over at Fatehpur Sikri, the old deserted town of the Mughal kingdom, built in red sandstone in honour of Saint Salim Chisti who blessed birth of 3 sons to Emperor Akbar. Afterwards continue drive towards Jaipur. On arrival check In at the hotel and have a pleasant night stay at Hotel.
DAY 5: JAIPUR CITY TOUR
Today morning after breakfast explore the Pink City with an excursion to splendid Amber Fort, situated just outside the city, built in the 15th Century by Rajput King Man Singh. Visit Jal Mahal or water palace that is situated in the midst of the beautiful Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur City. Continue your sightseeing by visiting the regal City Palace – present residence of the royal family of Jaipur, the palace is a miraculous portrayal of the real Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Then visit the incredible Jantar Mantar which was innovated and constructed by Jaipur King Swai Jai Singh. Amongst the 5 observatories built by him, Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is one of them. Later visit the splendid Hawa Mahal, also known ‘Palace of Winds’ was built with a concept for the woman of royal families to speculate the royal ceremonies and festivals being hidden from the public eyes. After sightseeing have a pleasant night stay at your Hotel.
DAY 6: JAIPUR – PUSHKAR
After breakfast drive to the holy city of Rajasthan “PUSHKAR”. A pilgrimage center with the one of the very few temples in India dedicated to lord Brahma, the Creator. Pushkar is the venue of an annual camel fair. Also visit the various ghats of Pushkar lake. . Then drive towards Ajmer. In Ajmer you will visit the shrine of Khwaja Muin-ud-din Chishti, which is a famous pilgrimage site of Muslims, but people from all communities are welcomed here.
Day 07: PUSHKAR – UDAIPUR
After breakfast, drive towards Udaipur. The beautiful city of lakes Udaipur is often referred to as the Venice of East and more so locally as the Kashmir of Rajasthan. En route you can see the marvellous Jain temples at Ranakpur. The rest of the day is at your leisure. In the evening enjoy boat ride over Lake Pichola with backdrop of sun set. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 08: UDAIPUR SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of the lake city – Udaipur often referred to as the ‘Venice of the East’ by visiting the wondrous City Palace complex – a significant landmark of the town. The palace is a splendid white marble historical home of the Rajpoot Rulers. Here you will see notable places like the Durbar Hall, Palace Museum, Crystal Gallery and Jagdish temple, followed by Sahelion Ki Bari, a beautiful recreation garden for queens and princes of the rulers. Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal is an ethnic exhibit of traditions and culture of Rajasthan, ethnic ornaments traditional outfits, puppets, masks, dolls, classical paintings, fold musical instruments. In the evening visit to Lake Bageela 22 kms, for a sightseeing tour of the ancient Eklingji and Nagda Temples. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 09: UDAIPUR – JODHPUR
Drive towards Jodhpur – Blue City that was found way back in 1459. Visit the majestic Mehrangarh fort (one of the best preserved forts with modern techniques of audio guides) and explore the various sections within. Also visit the marble cenotaph at Jaswant Thada before returning back to the hotel. Evening free at leisure or you can explore the markets of Jodhpur.
DAY 10: JODHPUR – JAISALMER
After breakfast drive to the golden oasis called Jaisalmer. Here it appears as if a master-craftsman took one huge piece of sandstone and patiently carved out the entire city.
For the second half of the day explore the beautiful man-made lake Gadsisar (the only source of water Jaisalmer had for years) & the royal cenotaphs at Bada Bagh. Overnight stay at the hotel
DAY 11: JAISALMER SIGHTSEEING
Visit one of the most exotic forts of Rajasthan in the first half of the day exploring it from every nook and corner and take some delightful pictures. Then drive towards the rolling sand dunes to enjoy camel safari over sand dunes. Overnight stay at Jaisalmer.
DAY 12: JAISALMER- BIKANER
After breakfast drive to the desert citadel – “Bikaner”. Tucked away in the harsh desert region of western Rajasthan lies the relatively remote city of Bikaner. Start the day by visiting the unusual Junagarh Fort. Unusual because, unlike all the major forts of Rajasthan which are on hilltops, this one was built on the desert plains itself. The palace complex’s sumptuously decorated interiors are better preserved than in almost any other region. Also visit the camel breeding farm and famous rat temple at Deshnok. Overnight at Bikaner.
DAY 13: BIKANER – MANDAWA
Driving eastwards reach Shekhavati Region. Shekhavati is not the name of a particular city or town. In fact, it is the name of an entire region in northern Rajasthan, which was once controlled by King Rao Shekhaji. There are a number of small towns and villages, clustered together. Unlike other places in Rajasthan where the main attraction is generally forts and palaces, Shekhavati is known for its painted walls. The whole region is dotted with elaborately frescoed Havelis (mansions). It is like an open-air Art Gallery.
DAY 14: MANDAWA – DELHI
On The last day of this tour package make a start towards Delhi after having breakfast. On reaching Delhi you will be taken to the Delhi airport for your onwards journey with some sweet memories of your journey.
