DELHI- RISHIKESH – LANSDOWNE – JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK – KAUSANI – BINSAR – NAINITAL – DELHI

Earned the status of ‘State’ in the year 2000, Uttarakhand, which was earlier a part of Uttar Pradesh, is famous for its scenic beauty and pilgrim centers. Uttarakhand is home to the holiest rivers the Ganga and Yamuna and the mightiest of the mountains the Himalayas. The Char Dham, Haridwar and Rishikesh are considered as the holiest place in the world. It is surrounded by huge mountains and around 70% of the state land is situated in the hilly region. This exceptionally beautiful state is believed to be created by gods for themselves as their second home hence it is also called as the Abode of Gods. The itinerary takes you to places like Rishikesh, Kausani. Binsar, Lansdowne, Nainital and Jim Corbett National Park. Some of the highlights of this tour package are wildlife safari in Jim Corbett and Binsar, Tiffin Top view point in Lansdowne, and the lush Kasauni Tea Estate.

 

DAY 01: DELHI- RISHIKESH

Namaste and Welcome to India! Upon arrival our representative will meet you and assist you for a transfer towards Rishikesh. Located on the confluence of River Chandrabhaga and River Ganga, this holy town lies at the foothills of lower Himalayas in Uttarakhand. Rishikesh is also popular for being the base site for journey to the Chardham destinations of Uttarakhand- Kedarnath, Gangotri, Badrinath and Yamunotri. It is visited by a huge number of pilgrims every year as it has several ashrams and temples.
On arrival check in at the hotel and relax. Afterwards proceed for the pleasure trip of Rishikesh – the town is known as Yoga & Meditation capital of the world.Visit various Ashrams and the most famous ashram is Parmarth Ashram. Also visit Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula – the suspension bridges on Ganges, Muni Ki Reti, Bharat Mandir. After this continue towards the meeting point of River Ganga, Yumuna and Sarswati, the Triveni Ghat. It is also one of the most revered sacred bathing spots in Rishikesh for seeking salvation. The last visit of the day is to Trayambakeshwar temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

DAY 02: RISHIKESH- LANSDOWNE

After breakfast, start your road journey to Lansdowne, well-known for its scenic beauty, weather and peaceful surroundings. In Lansdowne Hill Station you will get a glimpse of the well preserved British heritage bungalows and Churches. Enjoy the enchanting views of Himalayas, with majestic sunrise and sunset from different viewpoints in Lansdowne. On a clear day, see breath taking view of Himalayan ranges and a vast valley view with lower Himalayan ranges. The War Memorial and Garhwal Rifles regimental museum is a nice place for people who have keen interest in history. Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple, Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple, Bhairav Garhi Temple, and Bhim Pakora are some of the famous temples near Lansdowne. The Annual ‘Sharadotsava’ (Festival of Autumn) is also organized at this hill station during autumn season. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

DAY 03: LANSDOWNE – JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK

Today, after breakfast, start your road journey to the very popular Jim Corbett National Park, One of the oldest national parks in India, Corbett Tiger Reserve is a crowning jewel of tourism in itself. The main reason for tourists visiting the park is to spot the rare and elusive wildlife in their natural habitat and relax and rejuvenate in the lap of beautiful nature. Upon arrival check in at the jungle resort. Now you can freshen-up, enjoy good food and rest for a while. The evening is at leisure. Explore the nearby area on your own. Visit the Garjiya Devi temple that is located nearby. If you want you can also opt for an evening Jungle safari. This national park is known for its decent population of tigers and elephants. Other animals found here are sambar, slothe bear, various species of deer, langurs etc. It is also known for welcoming as many as 586 species of migratory birds.

DAY 04: CORBETT – KAUSANI

Post breakfast, drive towards your next destination, Kausani. Also known as
‘Switzerland of India’ , Kausani is a picturesque hill station famous for its scenic splendor and its spectacular panoramic view of the Himalayas. The town overlooks Someshwar Valley from one side and also provides some marvelous picturesque view of the surrounding peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli. Upon arriving, checkin at the hotel and relax. Afterwards, get ready for sightseeing in Kausani including a visit to Kasauni Tea Estate- have a look at the tea varieties and buy some, Sumitranandan Pant Gallery- dedicated to the popular literary figures of modern Hindi literature, Anasakti Ashram- also known as Gandhi Ashram, Lakshmi Ashram- a 70-year old ashram, Rudradhari Falls and Caves.

DAY 05: KASAUNI – BINSAR

In the morning, start your road journey for Binsar, a small town set in the midst of lush green forests covered with oak, pine, deodar trees, Binsar has plenty of tourist attractions including green meadows, temples and the Binsar wildlife sanctuary. Binsar wildlife sanctuary is loved by wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. It has a vast variety of grasses, bushes and trees, along with animals and birds. Upon arrival check in at the resort. The rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 06: BINSAR – NAINITAL

Post breakfast start driving towards Nainital. Blessed with its own scenic lake, Nainital is a hill station surrounded by the peaks of Kumaon Hills and is full of natural hot water springs. Nainital is divided into two parts, Tallital and Mallital, with the lake separating them. Tallital is the southern side of the lake, while Mallital consists of the northern upper reaches. It is also known as the Lake District of Uttarakhand and is named after Goddess Naina Devi. This honeymoon paradise nestled in the arms of Kumaon Hills is believed to have the blessings of Lord Shiva. Some popular engagements around Nainital are its lake, trekking, yatching, and horse-riding.

Day 07: NAINITAL

Good Morning! Post breakfast get ready for sightseeing tour of Nainital. Visit the lovely Naini Lake- the backbone of the city, Governor’s House- also known Raj Bhavan. It was constructed in 1899 and is Victorian Gothic domestic structure. The next visit is to the Snow View, which is accessible by a cable car ride. Also called Sher-ka-danda Ridge, it offers breathtaking views of the surroundings. Head towards The Mall road, running along the lake banks, which is now known as Govind Ballabh Pant Marg. This road has several shops and restaurants.
Stay overnight.

 

DAY 08: NAINITAL- DEPARTURE FOR DELHI

Today, on the last day of the tour, get transferred to Delhi Airport for boarding flight for your onward journey with loads of memories of this incredible tour.
