DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN DELHI
Namaste! Welcome to the Capital of India. You will be welcomed by our representatives on arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to let you overcome jet lag. In the evening you may explore the colorful and lively markets of Delhi. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 02: DELHI SIGHTSEEING
Good Morning! After breakfast you will be going for a full day sightseeing tour of the capital city of India starting with the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest and most splendid mosque in India, both built by Emperor Shah Jahan, Rajghat- the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, where he was cremated. Post lunch the sightseeing continues to explore the best tourist attractions of New Delhi including a drive past through the Indian President’s House (Rashtrapati Bhawan) towards India gate built to honour and pay a tribute to the Indian soldiers, then visit Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar; built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty and the beautiful Lotus Temple. In the evening take a cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling and colourful bazaar of Chandani Chowk for shopping or to taste some tantalizing North Indian cuisines. Afterwards return to the hotel for a pleasant overnight stay.
DAY 03: DELHI – AGRA
After breakfast, check out the hotel and drive towards Agra. Enroute stop over at Sikandra to see the Tomb of Mughal Emperor Akbar, a marvelous mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Akbar, spectacularly designed structure of Hindu and Muslim architecture. After your visit proceed towards Agra, on arrival transfer to the hotel.
Evening free at leisure or you can go for some shopping. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 04: AGRA SIGHTSEEING
Today early morning after breakfast, visit world’s most popular and beautiful monument: Taj Mahal with its’ fabulous view at the time of sunrise. Taj Mahal, a beautiful architectural monument is one of the 7 wonders of the world. This historical masterpiece is an illustration of the fusion of diverse architectural styles. Taj Mahal is the crown of all the lovely buildings in the world and a symbol of eternal love. The tour continues with a visit to Agra Fort. The fort was built in 1576 AD by great Mughal Emperor Akbar, structured and designed with red stoned barricaded; here you will find the splendid Pearl Mosque and various other classic example of art: Jahangir Mahal, Moti Masjid, Macchhi Bhawan, Nagina Masjid, Diwan-i-Khas, Sheesh Mahal, Diwan-e-Am, and Meena Bazaar. Emperor Shahjahan imprisoned by his rebellious son Aurangzeb in the Musamman Bhurj, would see his love reflecting through the Taj Mahal, where his dear wife was cremated. Later visit the Tomb of Itamad-ud-Daula, 35 kms from Agra, built by Empress Noorjahan daughter of Shahjahan, this monument a tribute to her great father. After sightseeing return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Note: Taj Mahal is closed on every Friday.
DAY 05: AGRA – JAIPUR VIA FATEHPUR SIKRI
Today morning after breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Jaipur. Enroute stop over at Fatehpur Sikri, the old deserted town of the Mughal kingdom, built in red sandstone in honour of Saint Salim Chisti who blessed birth of 3 sons to Emperor Akbar. It is an example of robust stability combined with originality. It is an example of robust stability combined with originality. Each important structure here represents a type by itself. Notable among them is the Diwane e Khas; Punch Mahal, the Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza, one of the largest and tallest gateways in the world. Also visit on the way a step well situated in the village of Abhaneri near Jaipur; it was built by King Chanda of the Chauhan Dynasty, and was dedicated to Hashat Mata, Goddess of Joy and Happiness upon completion. Afterwards continue drive to Jaipur. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. After refreshment, enjoy your evening at the most authentic and ethnic village resort: called Chokhi Dhani, designed on the theme of an ethnic village of Rajasthan with lots of traditional environment with entertainment like folk dances, puppet shows, astrology, music, camel ride, Here you can enjoy the traditional Rajasthani food. Afterwards return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 06: JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING
Today morning after breakfast explore the Pink City with an excursion to splendid Amber Fort, situated just outside the city, built in the 15th Century by Rajput King Man Singh. Visit Jal Mahal or water palace that is situated in the midst of the beautiful Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur City. Continue your sightseeing by visiting the regal City Palace – present residence of the royal family of Jaipur, the palace is a miraculous portrayal of the real Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Then visit the incredible Jantar Mantar which was innovated and constructed by Jaipur King Swai Jai Singh. Amongst the 5 observatories built by him, Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is one of them. Later visit the splendid Hawa Mahal, also known ‘Palace of Winds’ was built with a concept for the woman of royal families to speculate the royal ceremonies and festivals being hidden from the public eyes. After sightseeing have a pleasant night stay at your Hotel.
Day 07: JAIPUR – NIMAJ
Today morning after breakfast check out the hotel and drive towards Nimaj. A small town with a rural character and a stopover on the Jodhpur – Ajmer – Jaipur Route, Nimaj is home to celebrated experiential retreat of famous and luxurious camp of Chhatrasagar and Nimaj Palace which was originally built as a presidential palace of the royal family of Nimaj. The palace has now been converted into an experiential heritage hotel offering wide ranging experiences. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Later visit the Nimaj fort and enjoy a boat ride. Watch the birds, go for nature walks, soak in the fresh air, sit around the bonfire and listen to old folk lore – or be more adventurous and take one of the many safaris on offer. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 08: NIMAJ – ROHET
Today morning after breakfast check out the hotel and drive towards your next destination Rohet. On arrival transfer to the hotel. After relaxation, take a village tour to witness traditional folk ceremonies signifying friendship and brotherhood and see village artisans at work creating leather articles, pottery and woven handicrafts Besides being home to three species of antelope the chinkara, the blue bull and the black-buck-Rohet is also a haven for bird watchers with up to two hundred domestic and migratory species. The rest of the time is free to explore the desert town visiting Rohet Garh Fort and the village life of the town. In the evening you may take camel safari. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 09: ROHET – JODHPUR
Good Morning! After breakfast continue your journey towards Jodhpur. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Relax and after getting fresh start the sightseeing tour of Jodhpur by visiting the Umaid Bhawan Palace and museum – India’s one of most imposing and regal palaces, built by Maharaja Umaid Singh, designed by the famous architect Edwardian and Henry Vaughan Lanchester, who constructed this wonderful palace, a fine example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. A part of the palace has been converted into a hotel, one part is the museum and the remaining part is still occupied by the royal family. Later take an excursion to Bishnoi Village 25 kms: 45 min one way. The villagers coming from the Bishnois caste are believed to be the guardians of animals. Bishnois are vegetarians and hence have great reverence for all living things. Then visit to the local handicrafts viz shoe makers, pottery hand weaving watching men in their traditional attire, women clad with ancestral silver Jewellery, en-route watch and photograph the beautiful wildlife – black buck, chinkaras, peacock etc. liberally moving in plenty of care by the local villagers. After visit drive back to Jodhpur you can explore the local market, visiting various authentic restaurants. Afterwards return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 10: JODHPUR – DEOGARH
After breakfast, continue the sightseeing tour of the city by visiting massive the Clock Tower, the massive Mehrangarh Fort, magnificent Jaswant Thada (Mausoleums of the great Rajput King: Jaswant Singh), Later check out the hotel and drive to Deogarh, on arrival, transfer to the hotel. After refreshment visit Deogarh Mahal which was built in the 17th Century situated in the rugged countryside of the Aravalis, dotted by a number of lakes it is visited by a large number of migratory birds. Run and restored by the family, the castle has a good collection of miniature paintings. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 11: DEOGARH – UDAIPUR–
Post breakfast, check out the hotel and drive towards Udaipur. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. After refreshment take excursion to Devigarh (25 kms: 30 mins one way from Udaipur). You may enjoy a camel safari, kite flying and other activities. You may opt to visit surrounding villages to see the local people living. Later return back to Udaipur. In the evening you may walk through the old narrow street of the city to watch local houses and people. Or you may visit the bustling markets for some shopping. You can also enjoy the boat ride at Lake Pichola. Afterwards return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 12: UDAIPUR SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of Udaipur visiting the wondrous City Palace complex – a significant landmark of the town. The palace is a splendid white marble historical home of the Rajpoot Rulers. Here you will see notable places like the Durbar Hall, Palace Museum, Crystal Gallery and Jagdish temple, followed by Sahelion Ki Bari, a beautiful recreation garden for queens and princes of the rulers. Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal is an ethnic exhibit of traditions and culture of Rajasthan, ethnic ornaments traditional outfits, puppets, masks, dolls, classical paintings, fold musical instruments. In the evening visit to Lake Bageela 22 kms, for a sightseeing tour of the ancient Eklingji and Nagda Temples. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 13: UDAIPUR – SHAHPURA
After breakfast leave towards Shahpura from Udaipur. On your arrival at Shahpura, you will be taken to the hotel for quick check-in. Get fresh and start your expedition of the rural surroundings to experience the uniqueness of that place. Later on, you will be taken to the hotel for your overnight stay.
DAY 14: SHAHPURA – BUNDI
Post breakfast, commence your journey from Shahpura to Bundi. On your arrival at Bundi, you would be taken to the hotel for check – in. The rest of the day you will be free, and can be engaged at various recreational activities. Later in the evening, you will make your overnight stay in the hotel.
DAY 15: BUNDI SIGHTSEEING
Once you are done with breakfast, you would be out for the sightseeing of Bundi together with the Bundi Palace, representing the beautiful and amazing murals. Besides this, you will be visiting the Rani Ji Ki Baori, Sher Bagh Kipling Palace and the Bundi Museum. The toil of the sightseeing for the entire day will be spiced with the vivacious vegetable market. Later on, you will be back to the hotel for your overnight stay.
DAY 16: BUNDI – JAIPUR
After the breakfast, you will leave for Jaipur. Once you reach the Jaipur check in at the hotel. Evening is free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 17: JAIPUR – DELHI
On the last day of your tour, you would be taken to the Delhi International airport for your onward journey with lots of unforgettable and cheerful memories.
